Bringing the Lake District to life on canvas.
Being outdoors in the Lake District is a key element in creating my paintings, with each artwork beginning up a mountain or lake-side.
I map the movements of birds’ flight, recording them in the form of lines and once back in the studio, I transcribe these onto the canvas to create the forms within the artwork.
Seeing as each painting consists of data gathered outdoors, it feels only right that where possible I take the completed artwork back out into the landscape - creating a full circle process.
No line is ever repeated across my works. I use new data for each artwork to allow those moments in nature to exist only ever in only one painting.
Building a relationship with my clients, and connecting over our often mutual love for the outdoors is a part of my work that I adore.
With my Interior Design background, I am also able to offer commissioned artworks specifically designed in size and colour palette to suit your home, as well as the option to choose the location where your artwork is created from within Cumbria.
I enjoy every step of the journey, and my adoration of our natural landscape holds great importance in both my work and personal life.

Creating art for you.
As well as having a selection original artworks ready to go to a new home, I am also able to offer commissioned artworks, made specifically to suit and enhance a place in your home.
Commissioning an artwork from me can be very involved if you wish, with exciting options which we can decide on together, and a process which leaves you feeling very much part of the finished piece. Similarly, if you prefer to take a back-seat, I can take the lead and create something just-right for the space you are looking to fill.
Included in a commissioned artwork from me:
Size: A canvas of any size or orientation to fit your space perfectly
Colour: A bespoke colour palette designed just for you. Physical swatches or digital representations provided for approval before transforming into paint!
Location: A choice of which location from within cumbria you would like the natural data gathering from which your artwork will be created
Film: A curated film for you to look back on in years to come showing the process of your artwork being created: from out in the landscape, creation in the studio, to the finished piece back out in the landscape.
